Rough Spored Species
Panaeolina species Washington

Panaeolina species Washington

Description : The rough spores point to Panaeolina foenisecii (or P. castaneifolia) but the gills in the dried specimen appear to be darker than expected. The crimped cap edge is similar to that seen in Panaeolopsis and not typical for P. foenisecii. Small dark pleurocystidia were observed but mistaken for basidia and ignored. Correction pending. In a lawn in Seattle, Washington 6/4/08. BlimeyGrimey collection.
