: |
Section Verrucispora Gerhardt. Slightly roughened spores distinguish this species from P. subbalteatus. Bluing noted and reportedly psilocybin active. Found in a pasture growing directly from horse dung in NW Georgia. Spores 14.5-16.5(18)microns. P. castaneifolius sensu Ola'h is a synonym. Not to be confused with P. castaneifolia which has rougher spores that are brown in deposit. Collected by weiliiiiiii. Mushrooms shown have been picked and posed for the photo.
