Tentatively identified as P. cambodginiensis. Spores 10-12 microns, semitransparent. Brownish caps when young. Brown to pale thin-walled metuloids, some with crystals. 4-spored basidia. Another collection from Hawaii. Spores are too small for Panaeolus cyanescens (even though that is what is on the composite label). The thin-walled metuloids separate this sample from the similar small spored species, Panaeolus affinis, which has metuloids of the P. cyanescens type. Metuloid pleurocystidium pictured is more robust than average. |
