Conocybe cyanopus New York

Conocybe cyanopus New York

Description : Found on very rotten wood in September. Bluing noted on stem base. Basidia often 2-spored but 1 and 4 spored observed. Pleurocystidia is probably a misidentified basidium. This is not a perfect match to C. cyanopus but the more robust carpophore and noncapitate cheilocystidia separates it from C. smithii. Collected by Mead.
